ABOUT
A More Important Role is an unofficial zine project that explores the relationship between Sethos and Scaramouche from Genshin Impact. This zine will feature canon and AU themed works.All promo art is by akushixa!
In compliance with all applicable intellectual property law, Sethos and Scaramouche are playable characters from Genshin Impact, a role playing game developed by HoYoverse CO., LTD. A More Important Role is an unofficial project with no direct affiliation with Genshin Impact and HoYoverse CO., LTD.
FAQ
What is the rating for the zine?
A More Important Role will be a SFW, T-rated zine. We will not be having a NSFW side zine at this time.
Is this a for profit or nonprofit zine?
Despite the interest check results, the moderators have decided that A More Important Role will be a nonprofit zine.During contributor applications, we will be taking suggestions for charities and will also make sure to do our research into relevant charities to both sethoscara and current events.
How many contributors are you looking for?
We're currently looking to work with 30 artists, 6 writers, and 8 merch artists. These numbers may change depending on contributor applications.
Can artists also participate as merch artists? Or writers? Or vice versa?
Creators can apply for up to all three roles during the contributor application phase, however, they can only be accepted for one role. The mod team will be responsible for picking the role that best suits the contributor. Each application will be judged separately!
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Contributors must be 16 years of age or older at the time of application.NO AI USE is allowed whatsoever. If it is discovered that an AI generated work is submitted to the zine, that contributor will be removed from the project.FULL GUIDELINES
ART
Submit a Google Drive folder with three to five sample artworks. At least one of the submitted artworks has to be a Genshin Impact artwork. At least one of the submitted artworks should be a full piece with a detailed background. Portfolios are encouraged but optional.
MERCH
Submit a Google Drive folder with three to five sample artworks (illustrations, merch mock-ups, or merch you have sold before). At least one of the submitted artworks has to be a Genshin Impact artwork. Portfolios are encouraged but optional.
WRITING
Submit a Google Drive folder with three sample works with a maximum word count of 2,500 words. At least one of the submitted works has to be a Genshin Impact fanfiction. Portfolios are encouraged but optional.
